Are you a passionate, successful, experienced Sales Manager that has moved in to a Sales Trainer role? Do you have experience of running capability audits and delivering training solutions to fill any voids? Have you got experience working across an international business up-skilling all levels of Sales professionals - from internal telesales through to Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers? Have you got experience selling a complex concept/solution - such as a Software Platform?
This is the experience we are looking for! We are recruiting for a brand new role signed off within an International Tech business in the East Midlands (3 days a week working within the office). You will have the experience and passion in developing performance, assisting all levels of sales in those first calls, first meetings, first demos to help guide and support them in achieving success. You will be working in conjunction with key stakeholders, you will quickly understand the capabilities across the international Sales function in order to make recommendations for improvements to sales processes and customer interaction techniques. You will design and develop training, coaching and communication strategies which will fully embed your recommendations, ultimately driving revenue growth through competency improvements.
You will continually evaluate the success of your delivery using key sales data, behavioural metrics, feedback and creating reports to showcase your performance.
This role will include some overseas travel to other locations (once it is safe to do so), although it will not be very often.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a full audit of all current international sales processes, identifying skills gaps and developmental needs, before making recommendations for a new sales process to be implemented
- Creating and delivering content for the sales function to enhance customer interaction using a variety of learning interventions
- Responsible for delivering train the trainer sessions to our Sales Managers ensuring they are functional experts for our sales process and therefore able to support their teams
- Continually developing sales capability at individual level by observing customer interactions and implementing one to one coaching techniques
- Ensuring that recommended sales processes and customer interaction techniques are fully embedded into the sales culture of all international teams
- Maintaining deep knowledge of all products and their associated use cases within a variety of business sectors in order to embed that knowledge across the Sales teams
- Working with line managers to evaluate individual performance and identify opportunities to develop and grow the team
- Evaluating the effectiveness of learning interventions by measuring and tracking behavioural change combined with sales data and metrics
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
You will be an exceptional candidate, with a proven track record in a similar role. In particular, we are looking for:
Essential
- Strong commercial acumen, being personally driven by data and sales metrics
- Previous experience as a proven Sales Trainer/Coach
- Ability to work with a wide range of Sales teams (from Telesales, Inside sales up to Enterprise sales teams including Field based)
- Ability to conduct learning needs analysis, design and delivery
- Ability to engage a Sales team in a creative, inspiring and flexible way
- Ability to influence at all levels and tailor style
- Extensive knowledge of various B2B sales methodologies
- Experience of working with international sales teams
Desirable
- Conversational knowledge of German, Spanish, French or Italian
- Coaching qualification at Level 5 or above (for example ILM/CMI)
