We have a brilliant new role created that would suit somebody that has a solid couple of years experience within an IT support role or possible a graduate that has some experience within a similar role. Working for a successful expanding tech business in Nottingham you will help grow both the knowledge and capacity of the internal IT function.
Currently, due to Covid 19, this role will be home based until the offices open again, at that point the role is based in Nottingham centre.
You will be responsible for supporting internal users and have exposure to a wide variety of technologies both cloud-based and hosted-on-premise, while working as part of a close-knit team. Daily work will vary from reactive escalations to challenging projects like onboarding new services or migrating users as part of integrations.
No two days will be the same within this role. We are looking for somebody that is hard-working and agile. You will need to be able to keep up with a fast-paced working environment.
- Providing excellent customer service to internal customers
- Supporting users' hardware and software escalations, logging these as tickets and seeing these through to resolution
- Migration and consolidation of internal tools as part of integration projects
- System maintenance including patching, auditing and ensuring you are adhering to industry best practice
- Proposing and implementing new ideas that improve the productivity of staff through IT
- There will be a requirement to be available both out of hours with notice and be part of an on-call rota for supporting urgent out of hours escalations
We are looking for:
Somebody that can bring some of the experience above from a similar role. In particular we are looking for:
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with employee onboarding/off-boarding workflows
- Experience of tracking assets: hardware and software
- Possess good judgement with an ability to understand when to escalate queries
- Resilient, ability to handle high volumes of work
- Team player, in this close-knit team, being able to work well wit others is crucial
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- An excellent customer manner, able to deal with customers face to face, over the phone or via a ticketing system
- Active Director management including GPOs
- Office 365 or Google Workspace
- Laptop builds, imaging, deployments and updates
- Windows 10, Mobile Device Management
- VOIP Technologies
