Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Field based role, but to be based within the East Midlands
Salary: Base £40,000 to £60,000 depending on experience with £20,000 uncapped realistic OTE + excellent benefits - including health care, dental, death in service and much more.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager who has "solutions sales" experience. We are looking for a candidate that has experience building relationships with large clients, finding and understanding pain points and being able to sell them a solution that can perhaps be utilised in various departments across the whole business.
Having the opportunity to work with a driven, passionate senior management team and reporting in directly to the UKI Sales Manager you will be accountable for executing net new business for the UK & IE territories. Primarily obtaining new clients and fostering business relationships to increase revenue from sales.
The successful individual will need to have a passion for technology and be confident in their ability to demonstrate and sell software.
A typical day/week will include:
- Contacting potential clients to establish relationships and arrange meetings
- Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities
- Finding and developing new markets and verticals to improve sales
- Working closely with the account management function to define overall proposition
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients
- Engaging with key stakeholders across the business
- Working closely with the Marketing department to improve the effectiveness of both on and offline marketing to maximise sales opportunities
- Working closely with the Professional Services team to ensure the smooth delivery of solutions projects
What we are looking for:
- Strong sales acumen
- Ability to perform sales planning and pipeline management
- Experience in a field based new business development role
- Able to negotiate engagement pricing and experience of winning long-term multi-year contractual agreements
- Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and experience of value-based selling and contracting to large enterprises
- Ability to build winning sales plans
- Able to develop and maintain strong relationships at both C-level and functional levels
- Confident presentation skills with experience presenting to C-Level audiences
- Experience of complex sales processes, involving multiple stakeholders and prospects
- Strong working knowledge of CRM Systems, including experience of all aspects of the sales cycle and workflow generation
